Sorry it's so big!!! Until I went to resize them all, I didn't even realize how large I'd been drawing the whole thing. I know I had to mess up the Ravenclaw/Slytherin placement on the crest in order to put John and Sherlock together, but I wanted them to be next to each other despite the fact that I don't personally see Sherlock in Slytherin, so needs must.

Someday I'd really be interested in seeing a Potterlock fic where Sherlock is a Muggleborn, regardless of house placement.

What?!  Sherlock a Muggleborn?  That would make him like Hermione I guess.  An extraordinarily gifted wizard with Muggle parents, and let me guess.  Mycroft is totally ordinary, but is still a git to his little brother, a bit like Gilderoy Lockhart's sisters were with him.  I read in Ms. Rowling's bio about him that he's a half-blood (witch mother) with two older sisters, and he was in Ravenclaw while at school; unlike Lockhart though, Sherlock is anything BUT lazy/attention hungry.

Ah, I disagree, Sherlock is definitely attention-starved.

I like to envision Mycroft as being a powerful wizard too, actually!

Attention starved courtesy of Mycroft as his parents have no time for him.  He's become so used to being alone that he's become so obdurate and odious to be around as to keep it that way.  He's not used to people not fearing the "dragon's fiery breath", so to speak.  Which house would Mycroft be in, pray tell?  Or is he already out of school, like Bill and Charlie Weasley were at the start of Philosopher's Stone?

Slytherin, as in the other drawing I did. I don't really have a concrete opinion on whether I want him in school at the same time as Sherlock or not.

That would be Molly. John is in Gryffindor. Are they really so unrecognizable...

Oh, then you haven't seen the show. These are based on versions of the characters from the BBC modern update of Sherlock Holmes. Molly Hooper is an original character in the series.

I agree. Sherlock is obviously in Ravenclaw. Sure, he's got a Slytherin side, but who doesn't? He;s mainly a Ravenclaw, the evidence is uncanny. With John being an ex-medic soldier, he's got to be in Gryffindor. Plus, as many people often say, Sherlock's the brains (Racenclaw) and John's the heart (Gryffindor). Molly is so sweet, she's a toal Hufflepuff ^^ And Moriarty, Irene, and Mycroft are the best candidates for Slytherin... So in short, I agree with LogicinWonderland lol

Woot woot! Ravenclaws forever!
I always thought that Sherlock definitely belonged in Ravenclaw, and not Slytherin, because he isn't ambitious. I mean, if he was he would have become a famous detective by himself a lot sooner and could probably work for the Queen! Mycroft, Irene, and Moriarty are definitely Slytherins to me. John is a Gryffindor (or a Hufflepuff, I think he would be suited for both), and Lestrade too could also be in either Griffindor or Hufflepuff. But I always saw Molly as a definite Hufflepuff.
Great job on the piece, it looks great!

That's always been my main sticking point with putting Sherlock in Ravenclaw. He has arguably Slytherin traits, yes, but no one house has the monopoly on all of whatever their specialty traits are -- Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Luna, and Neville are loyal as anything to Harry, but none of them are in Hufflepuff, for example -- and I feel like his sheer lack of greater ambition and his desire to be not influential or powerful but simply brilliant for his own sake takes him right out of the green and silver running. I mean, he has drive, but it's basically just "solve ALL the puzzles," and for him those puzzles take the form of interesting crimes.
